Why eMaester?
I was a home-maker along with being a mentor of my 12 year old son. eMaester seemed to be the perfect job opportunity for me – helping me to balance my personal and professional life with ease.
Life as an eMaester
I love my life as an eMaester. Honestly, it was a bit of a challenge initially, when I was new to the online teaching methodology. But as time passed, I became comfortable with the system, as it is very easy to use for everyone. I started planning my activities of the day in advance so I could devote time to teaching. Obviously, that’s the plus point of being a woman – we have great multi-tasking skills!
My family loves eMaester, since I am balancing home and work. My son is very excited too!
The Student Connect
Though it’s a completely virtual communication channel with the students, but still, after a few days, no one seems to be just a student! In fact, it’s like being with your friends/known ones.
I am elated to the core with my new life! 🙂
What does it take to be a Good eMaester?
Knowledge of the language is essential. But, above that, one needs to be sympathetic and empathetic towards the students, strike a cordial relation with them, and keep upgrading and updating your skills as a teacher regularly. The joy derived from teaching students is truly amazing!
Do you Enjoy Working from Home?
Yes absolutely! That is the USP of eMaester. I work where I want to. The world is my office. You know, mine is a mobile office, always on the go. I would also say I am contributing my bit towards saving nature. The mode of transport I prefer doesn’t emit any sort of toxins, no crashes, no traffic jams, no maintenance required (except keeping myself healthy)!
What’s your favourite thing about being an eMaester?
The fact that I am constantly learning something new every day, modifying my teaching style, and experimenting every day. Though I am the teacher, it is a great learning experience for me as well. Apart from this, the experience of teaching senior students/working professionals/international citizens is just overwhelmingly amazing! Last but not the least, the comfort that eMaester provides in balancing personal and professional side of myself. eMaester is fantabulous! I am thoroughly enjoying what I am doing.
