Why eMaester?
Teaching has always been my passion for me and it was my childhood dream. Unfortunately, I couldn’t pursue teaching as a career, life took me into a totally different direction. I was working in the IT field. I found eMaester one day while searching for a job, for some extra income and luckily for me, it was a teaching job. I was overwhelmed with excitement because I could finally live my dream and also fulfill my additional financial requirements.
The Training
Honestly I was a little scared in the beginning. I wasn’t confident of my abilities as a teacher. But I got a really awesome mentor (Alaknanda Sen Gupta) for my training. Now, I am confidently teaching and also enjoying new learning experiences every day.
Life as an eMaester
Training students online for IELTS as an eMaester is an unbelievable experience. All I can say is, I am loving it to the fullest. It’s really an out-of-the-world experience to get to teach different people every day. And all this happens from the comfort of my home with convenient timings. I don’t have to compromise on any of my personal commitments. Even my family is very happy as I don’t have to go out for this job and don’t need to compromise on family time.
The Student Connect
I have a very good understanding with all the students that I am teaching. I always ask for their feedback and take it positively so that I can learn and grow as a teacher. When students succeed, and get the band they require, they are really happy and I am happier!
What’s your favourite thing about being an eMaester?
The comfort of being home and knowing more people, learning and also earning that extra money! 🙂
